V.A.R.K. how learners learn….
When it comes to learning anything, it can be classified in four ways – Visual, Audible, Reflective or Kinesthetic (by practice). Many tutors can very often be bewildered about students in their classes or groups when the knowledge they’ve shared in a classroom or tutorial with students isn’t reflected back students to assure the tutor the learning has been grasped. This can largely be attributed by not understanding the four key learning styles of learners. The VARK method is one of the foremost leading techniques for understanding learning styles throughout the world of education. VARK meaning V for Visual, A for audible, R for reflective and K for kinesthetic. For instance – Visual learners learn better from seeing, Audible learners learn better from hearing, reflective learners learn better from reflection of what they have seen and heard and Kinesthetic learners learn better from practice.
